In the collection Saltviken, designer Lina Schnaufer has been inspired by memories of her maternal grandmother´s home in Kolmyrarna on Sweden´s west coast. The house was built sometime in the 19th century and was originally a simple dwelling with an adjoining outhouse and a small piece of land. Later, the house became a holiday home used by different branches of the family during summer and other holiday periods. The house was called Saltvik referring to the nearby “vik”, which is the Swedish word for small bay or cove.
